Maldron Hotel Belfast City

LikedGood location, clean room and breakfast / dinner was very good.

DislikedSound proofing poor - kept awake on two evenings due to noise from building nearby and also very noisy next door room neighbours. Also water pipes made strange noises at times.

LikedThe room was great and the choice for breakfast was excellent

DislikedThe hotel said that they would be paying 50% of the car park and when I was paying for the ticket at the car park, the total came to £21 and I only got £4 discount 😑

LikedLike many hotels in Belfast it seems, it’s very central to the city, meaning it’s incredibly easy to walk anywhere within most of the time. Also very close to Europa Bus Station from where you can get the express bus to and from George Best Belfast City Airport cheaply. Good sized room, very comfortable mattress and a decent breakfast offering (hot and cold buffet, plus Continental options etc). Lots of pubs, bars and restaurants nearby. Very pleasant and helpful staff on the reception desk.

DislikedRoom did show some minor wear and tear signs around the walls and doors. Normal in a busy hotel but still present. The area outside the hotel on higher floors can be a bit of a wind trap creating noise outside on higher floors. Also, not a huge amount of clothing storage space in my room, but certainly just enough for a couple of days stay. But these are minor practicalities to note, not be put off by.
